A little about me...My name is Devon Comstock. I'm located in South Lyon, Michigan in the United States. I've always loved horses, even as a kid. My collection of Breyers started when I received a set of Stablemates for my birthday from a friend. Shortly after, I started collecting Traditionals. After seeing tack other hobbyists had created, I ended up trying my own. Eventually, I started selling and showing my tack.
I've shown all of my tack very successfully in Live Performance. I was able to previously win Overall Performance Champion at a live show against some tough competition, and I've had customers also show well with my tack. I also placed in several performance classes when I showed at Breyerfest 2017. I have, however, never shown in Photo shows, but I'd love to eventually give it a try. In middle school, I started riding real horses. I only did it for pleasure, so I was never competitive. But after trying out a few horses, I stuck with a rescued OTTB named Lumpy. I still ride him occasionally, and he will always be my favorite giant grumpy "pony." Other things I enjoy doing are reading, painting, and even a little bit of prop making and customizing. I started making my own props when I was unable to afford the professional ones already out there. I occasionally customize and paint plastic ponies as a bit of a break from tack as well. I love action/adventure books. Some of my favorite authors are Rick Riordan and Brandon Mull. I also do power Baptiste yoga at a small nearby studio and absolutely love it. If you ever have questions on model horses or showing, I will be more than happy to help :) Just drop me an email or a Facebook message. |
